About this treatment
When the stopping is not talked about, the reader assumes the worst: that the pause means starting over, or that nobody is holding their place any more.
Neither is true. The point where you stopped stands written, and on your return things carry on from there. How long the pause lasted goes into the record as well.
Whether a pause costs you anything or makes no odds at all, we do not know; nothing dependable in writing turned up. Only the procedure can be described: where your place is held and how the calendar is redrawn.
At a glance
- Because the point where you stopped stands written, the plan is not set up again on your return.
- The length of the pause goes into the record; the return appointment is planned with that figure.
- You are not expected to announce a pause in advance — announce it and the plan is brought up to date.
- At the return appointment, what you noticed during the pause is asked for under a heading of its own.
- If you would rather come back to the other studio, that has no bearing on your record.
Method
We hold no manufacturer document describing how this device family works, so we do not open the method section. How a pause relates to the treatment would belong under this heading too, and on that we hold nothing written either.
Session plan
With an interrupted plan, what lies between two visits is sometimes days and sometimes months. A long gap is not a shortfall but a window of observation in its own right: if you noticed nothing in that time, that too goes into the return appointment.
Who it is planned for
With a long plan, reckoning on a cut is realistic. If a long pause is likely in the period ahead, say so at the outset; the plan can be built around it. Here too the decision is made together at the visit.
- If a journey or a crowded stretch is coming in the next months, share it from the start.
- If you have broken off a similar plan before, tell us why; the new one can be built around that.
- If a leg has been operated on or is under follow-up, tell us.
- A pregnancy bears directly on the timetable; say so at the visit.
How the appointment runs
- Looking at the point where you stoppedIf you have paused, we begin by saying that point back to you. Nothing is drawn up afresh.
- Talking about the pauseYou are asked how long the pause lasted and what you noticed in that time. The answer goes under a heading of its own.
- The applicationThings carry on from the point where you stopped, and we check on you as it goes.
- Bringing the plan up to dateWhether the remaining plan still fits is discussed; if your calendar has changed, the plan changes with it.
- Preparing for the next pauseIf you can see a cut coming, it is written down now. That makes the next return easier.
Before your appointment
Recommended
- Before the visit, think about which interruptions are coming your way in the near term.
- If you have broken off a plan before, recall the reason.
- Choose a garment that leaves the legs free.
- If the pause was long, bring short notes from that time.
To avoid
- Do not assume that the pause means starting over.
- Do not put anything unusual on the legs on the day of the visit.
- Do not hold back from booking because you did not announce the pause.
- Do not come without checking first if one of the legs is irritated.
After your appointment
Recommended
- After the return appointment, write the remaining plan down for yourself.
- If you can already see the next interruption, put it in your calendar.
- Go on wearing trousers that sit loosely on the legs.
- Carry on keeping under a heading of its own whatever you notice during a pause.
To avoid
- Do not take the pause out of your record; its length is itself a figure.
- Skip any warmth on the legs that same evening.
- Do not put the legs to the test with a long walk while something is still lingering.
- Do not note the cut down as a failure; the plan is not built on that footing.
When to contact us: If a pain, a swelling or a discolouring you had not reckoned with stays in the legs, ring us and mention any pause — it shortens the search. If only one leg swells, that belongs with a doctor first.
What to be aware of
With no verified safety source for this device family, we leave this section empty. We also hold nothing written on how a pause relates to the treatment, and we would rather not invent a timing rule that rests on nothing; you are welcome to put your questions to us before the appointment.
Good to know
What happens when I pause?
Can I carry on from where I stopped?
You can. The point where you stopped stands written, and the return appointment begins there.
How long the pause lasted goes into the record too; that feeds the planning of the return.
Do I have to announce a pause?
Is it a problem if I simply stay away?
You do not have to. Announce it and the plan is brought up to date; do not announce it and the record waits as it is.
We do not ring you. If you want to come back, booking is enough.
Is the gap itself a figure?
Nothing happened in that time — do I have to say so?
You should, and it is a valuable answer. The sentence "I noticed nothing" carries as much as having noticed something.
We keep that answer under a heading of its own; the return planning looks at it.
Building a known interruption into the plan
It falls in the summer holidays — what should I do?
Say so at the outset. With a foreseeable interruption in the plan, the return appointment can be set straight after that stretch.
It is not a requirement; it only makes the return easier.
Stopping altogether
I do not want to carry on — do I have to do anything?
You do not. Stopping is a valid decision, and we hold it as an outcome.
If you change your mind, the record is waiting.
Why is the device section empty?
Do you have no document at all for this family?
No maker's proof for this name ever arrived; what was looked for is logged on our side.
And how a pause plays into it we know just as little — the same hole.
What does not belong here
Is this any good for a number on the thigh?
Nothing here aims at weight or girth figures.
If you bring that hope along, raise it before the plan is settled.
The Fatma Süha approach
At Fatma Süha we assume from the outset that a long plan will be cut. A plan that never speaks of being cut turns, at the moment it is cut, into a plan nobody will own.
We write down the point where you stopped. Without it, the return appointment opens with "where were we?", and nobody can answer that in full.
We do not ring you because you paused. If you want to come back, the record is waiting; if you do not, that is a valid decision too.
What the pause did to you we do not say. We have no verified source for that, and a guessed sentence turns a return into a pressure.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I start over after a pause?
- No. The point where you stopped stands written, and the return appointment carries on from there.
- Do I have to announce a pause?
- You do not. Announce it and the plan is brought up to date; do not announce it and the record waits as it is.
- I noticed nothing during the pause — should I say so?
- Say so. That answer carries something too, and it goes into the return planning.
- I have a long journey ahead — can I have it written into the plan?
- You can. With a foreseeable interruption in the plan, the return appointment can be set beforehand.
- What do I do if I want to stop altogether?
- You need do nothing. Stopping is a valid decision, and the record stays waiting.
- Will you ring me if I do not come?
- We do not ring. If you want to come back, booking is enough.
- Why do you write no technical detail about the device?
- No maker's proof for this name ever arrived; what was looked for is logged on our side.
- Is it right to begin this plan with a figure in mind?
- Nothing here aims at weight or girth figures. Let us raise your hope before the plan is settled.
