Lip colour and appearance

Lip Blush

A pigment treatment planned around your existing lip tone and preferred colour effect.

Lip blush is a permanent makeup treatment focused on the appearance of lip colour. Colour and outline are considered in relation to the existing lip tone. It is not a volume-enhancing filler treatment; colour preferences and expectations are discussed during consultation.

You can start your permanent makeup booking online. Choose your branch, treatment and an available time; suitability and design are discussed before treatment.

Who may consider it?

  • People who feel their lip colour looks pale or would prefer a more vibrant colour appearance.
  • People looking for a more balanced colour transition around the lips.

Our approach

  • Colour assessed against your existing lip tone
  • Colour and outline considered together
  • Focus on colour rather than volume

Our approach

Before the look, we listen.

  1. Share your expectations

Tell us about the look you want, your everyday makeup preferences and any previous treatments.

  2. Consider the design together

We discuss shape, colour and definition in relation to your current appearance. Suitability and treatment scope are clarified at this stage.

  3. Meet again for a follow-up

We review the appearance together at your complimentary follow-up within 3–4 weeks after treatment.

Before your treatment

  • Always disclose a history of cold sores. Treatment should not be performed during an active outbreak. If cold sores recur frequently, discuss the need for preventive medication with your doctor; do not start it on your own.
  • Arrange an assessment if your lips are cracked, wounded, inflamed or very dry, or if you have recently had filler or a chemical treatment.
  • Share allergies, medicines and previous pigment treatments, and avoid irritating your lips before the appointment. Discuss any changes to medicines with your doctor.

After your treatment

  • Swelling, sensitivity and a more vivid colour may occur in the first few days. The tone may lighten and become more visible again over the following weeks.
  • Do not rub your lips or pick at peeling skin. Apply only the product specified in your aftercare instructions, using clean hands.
  • While healing, avoid lipstick, lip scrubs, pools, saunas and irritating products. Avoid very hot, spicy or acidic foods if they cause discomfort.
  • Contact a doctor promptly if you notice cold sore symptoms such as tingling or clusters of blisters.

Longevity and healing

Approximate longevity
Colour intensity may generally fade over approximately 1–3 years. Sun exposure, skin characteristics and lifestyle can affect the timeline; traces of pigment may not disappear completely.
Healing and assessment
Surface healing may often take approximately 1–2 weeks. The final colour is usually assessed after 4–6 weeks; individual healing can differ.

Please note

Natural lip colour, pigment choice and healing affect the appearance. Longevity and final colour cannot be guaranteed; the treatment does not increase lip volume.

Let us discuss suitability

Before you decide

Permanent makeup involves applying pigment into the skin. Infection, allergic reactions and scarring are possible, and removing the pigment can be difficult. Share any previous treatments and known sensitivities. Discuss health-related suitability questions with a healthcare professional. Aftercare and follow-up information are provided individually.

Your questions

Is lip blush the same as filler?

No. Lip blush uses pigment to address colour appearance. It is not a filler treatment that increases volume.

How is the colour chosen?

Your existing lip tone, preferred look and previous treatments are considered together. The same pigment is not assumed to look identical on everyone.

Is the follow-up complimentary?

Yes. One follow-up within 3–4 weeks after treatment is complimentary. Any additional treatment or touch-up is discussed separately.

Your questions about permanent makeup

Will permanent makeup disappear completely?

The colour may fade over time, but complete disappearance of the pigment cannot be guaranteed. Some people may retain traces of colour for many years.

Will I see the final colour straight after treatment?

No. The colour may look darker or more vivid during the first few days. Its appearance can change as the skin flakes and renews; it is usually assessed more accurately after approximately 4–6 weeks.

When is the follow-up appointment?

One follow-up within 3–4 weeks after treatment is complimentary. Healing and pigment retention are reviewed, and any need for additional pigment application is assessed separately.

Is a touch-up always necessary?

No. The need varies with skin type, treatment area and pigment retention. Any touch-up and its price are confirmed after assessment at the centre. A complimentary follow-up is not the same as a complimentary touch-up.

Can I have the treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Tell us before booking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Suitability for elective pigment treatments needs to be assessed, and treatment may need to be postponed. Consult your healthcare professional about health-related decisions.

Are there risks during or after treatment?

Temporary sensitivity, redness, swelling and flaking may occur. Infection, allergic reactions, pigment migration or colour changes are also possible.

When should I seek medical attention?

Seek medical attention for increasing or spreading redness, worsening pain, pus, fever, cold sore lesions or widespread allergy symptoms. Changes in vision or severe eye pain after eye-area treatment require urgent assessment.

Can sunlight and skincare products affect longevity?

Yes. UV exposure and skin-renewing treatments such as peels and retinoids can change the appearance of pigment. Pay attention to sun protection once the area has healed, and tell your practitioner about your permanent makeup before later skincare treatments.
