Laser — Waist

The waist is the one band on the trunk that spends the whole day under a waistband, a belt or a seam. How the days after the appointment go is decided less by the treatment than by what you put on the following morning.

About this treatment

Most bands on the trunk are left free during the day. The waist is not: what goes on in the morning sits at the same height until evening, and at that height there is contact.

So «it was uncomfortable» is worth little here on its own. It becomes useful once the day and the garment stand beside it.

That is what this page is about: where the contact falls, how the days that follow go, and how that observation is passed on.

Session plan

On this band the observation between two appointments arrives together with the clothing. It is ordinary to have two different experiences in the same week in two different pairs of trousers; pass both on and the picture can be read as one.

Who it is planned for

Whether this suits you is not for this page to decide. What it can say is that on this band the time after an appointment is interlocked with everyday clothing, and that talking about it from the start helps.

  • If something the day after calls for a tight waistband, say so beforehand.
  • If you always wear an item that rests at waist height, point it out.
  • If there is a wound or a place not yet healed on the band, report it before the appointment.
  • Share your leaning towards scars and the medicines you take before the appointment.

Before your appointment

Recommended

  • For the day of the appointment, choose trousers that leave the waist free.
  • If something with a tight waistband is on the day after, place the appointment around it.
  • If you always wear an item at waist height, say so at the appointment.
  • Share your leaning towards scars and your list of medicines before the appointment.

To avoid

  • Do not clear the belt with wax or tweezers before the appointment.
  • In the days beforehand, go without browning of any kind on this band.
  • Do not turn up on the day of the appointment in a tight belt.
  • Do not try to mark and fix the height of the waistband on your own.

Method

With the manufacturer document for the studio's laser platform not in our hands, this section stays closed. Talking at the appointment about clothing touching the treated area is not a description of a working principle; that subject sits in the aftercare section.

How the appointment runs

  1. Talking over the height of the waistbandYou are asked at what height contact happens in daily life, and where that falls on the band is settled.
  2. Settling the bandThe upper and lower heights are agreed by pointing and written into the entry.
  3. The applicationThe agreed belt is worked; say that it is uncomfortable and it stops.
  4. Planning the days that followWhat is on for the day after is talked over, and what to watch for is set by that.
  5. The note about contactWhich garment it bothered you in over the previous stretch is put on record.

After your appointment

Recommended

  • Write down side by side which day it bothered you and what you had on that day.
  • Set down over how many days the redness ran.
  • Decide whether the upper and lower heights are right for you as they stand.
  • Bring your observation about clothing and contact to the next appointment.

To avoid

  • In the first days do not reach for trousers or a belt that cinch the waist.
  • Do not hold the belt open to the sun after the appointment.
  • Use no tanning product until the next appointment.
  • If blistering or a change of colour appears, try nothing on your own account.

When to contact us: If a redness drags on, or blistering or an altered shade joins it, reach for the phone and say which of the two heights it is at. If something speaks for an infection, seek out a doctor's surgery first.

What to be aware of

  • Straight after the treatment, a redness and swelling that brings a sunburn to mind is held to be usual.
  • Blistering, infection, scarring and a lasting change of colour are passed on as rarely met risks.
  • Through the preparation period, a daily broad protection of no less than factor thirty is advised.
  • Getting a tan, going to a sunbed and applying tanning products are not recommended.
  • A leaning towards scars or keloids and the medicines in use are to be passed on before the treatment.

At a glance

  • Where the height of trousers or belt falls on the band is talked over at the appointment.
  • Which garment you were in when the contact bothered you goes into the entry.
  • How you spend the day of the appointment can be planned from the outset.
  • The upper and lower heights of the band are set by pointing; the catalogue name does not give them.
  • How far apart the visits fall follows the ordering our source describes.

Good to know

Where does the height of the waistband fall on the band?

Do my trousers sit right on it?

That differs from person to person and is talked over at the head of the appointment.

Knowing where the height falls also settles what to reckon with over the days that follow.

The «in which garment» question

What should I say when I tell you about a bother?

Name the day and the garment together, and the entry becomes usable.

If it is only «it was uncomfortable», nothing is left at the next appointment that could be changed.

The plan for the following day

Which day should I put the appointment on?

If something calling for a tight waistband is on the day after, placing the appointment around it makes things easier for you.

Just say so when you take the appointment; we look at it together.

The upper and lower heights of the belt

From where to where is the work carried?

The catalogue name states the belt but does not give the two heights; both are set at the appointment by pointing.

The two settled heights go into the entry and are read back at the head of every appointment.

How often one comes back

Is that settled beforehand?

It is not; our safety text settles nothing of the sort. All it describes is that the visits fall apart from one another.

In time something grows again, and a top-up can come up.

The advice about the sun

The waist is mostly covered — even so?

Our safety text asks for cover from the sun every day and for keeping clear of a tan; the band sitting under clothing buys no exemption.

Stretches when the band lies open — at the sea or by a pool — are better mentioned while the appointment is being planned.

What is to be told

What must I say before the appointment?

The safety text names four things: a leaning to keloids or scars, a tan picked up lately, earlier herpes flare-ups, and whatever you are taking.

On top of that we ask you to name a wound on the band that has not yet healed.

The Fatma Süha approach

At Fatma Süha we do not think of the time after an appointment on this band apart from clothing. At the waist the contact lasts all day, and a description that looks past that stays incomplete.

Instead of «it was uncomfortable» we ask «in which garment». The second is of use at the next appointment; the first is not.

We talk over the plan for the following day as well. Putting the appointment on the right day is the simplest way to make the after easier.

We write no recommendation about what to wear. What you put on is your decision; we only say which observation turns out to be usable.

How should I describe a bother?
Name the day and the garment together; that is what makes the entry usable.
What should guide me in picking the day of the appointment?
If something with a tight waistband is on the day after, say so; we lay the plan out around it.
Who sets the heights of the belt?
The upper and lower heights are set at the appointment by pointing and written into the entry.
How many appointments does the waist belt take?
No number sits in our source; what it speaks of is a build as a run with space between appointments.
Is sun protection needed when the waist is covered?
The source advises daily protection, and the band staying covered makes no exception.
May I wear a belt on the day of the appointment?
