Ultrawave — Full Legs

The whole leg is not a stretch you travel end to end in one visit; it is a large surface worked in sections. What matters here is not what one visit contains but how the series gets planned and followed.

About this treatment

The commonest mistake when working a large surface is starting somewhere different every time. Without dividing it into sections there is no following which part has had how much work, and the series runs unevenly.

So we divide the surface together on the first visit. Where to begin, how it carries on from one visit to the next, and what gets written down are all discussed up front.

Throughout, you are expected to say how it feels. Across a large surface that can differ from section to section, and what you say feeds the planning of the next visit.

At a glance

  • The surface is divided into sections at the visit; which section was worked when is kept on paper.
  • How the series carries on is discussed on the first visit rather than planned from scratch each time.
  • Intensity can be adjusted section by section, following what you report.
  • You can spread your run of visits across the two addresses; the series does not suffer for it.
  • Whether you pause or stop is discussed afresh at every visit.

Method

Roller massage, vacuum and infrared

  • The application runs through rotating roller heads that roll over the skin and lift as they go; the manufacturer's manual calls this step "rolling & lifting".
  • The head applies suction with negative pressure at the same time. The manual gives the maximum suction force as 8 kg.
  • Infrared light in the 700–2000 nm range is delivered from the head; the maximum power stated in the manual is 20 W.
  • The device's concentrated 40 kHz wave head is a separate head and is used on body regions.

Session plan

What is bought here is not a single visit but a series. The gap between them gives the surface time to settle and lets us see what happens between two visits. Compressing the gap does not speed the series up; it only removes the stretch that could have been watched.

Who it is planned for

This treatment is built for people who want the surface of the whole leg worked regularly across a series. It is not a programme aimed at a target for weight, measurements or body composition. The decision is made together at the visit, once the surface has been looked at and your expectation discussed.

  • If there is a wound, a healing process or a skin problem on the surface, say so beforehand.
  • If you have had surgery on the leg or a treatment is under way, share it.
  • If you are pregnant or planning to be, say so at the visit.
  • Discussing the span in which you want to finish the series, right from the start, keeps the progress followable.

How the appointment runs

  1. Dividing the surfaceOn the first visit the leg is divided into sections, and the order the series will run in gets settled together.
  2. Getting readyThe surface is prepared, and which sections are due that day gets explained.
  3. The working throughThe sections come up in order. At each one you are asked how it feels, and intensity is adjusted from your answer.
  4. The written noteWhich sections were worked and what you reported goes on paper; the planning of the next visit comes out of that note.
  5. Carrying the series onWhen it continues, and with which section, is decided from the progress on paper.

Before your appointment

Recommended

  • Write down before the visit anything you have noticed on the surface.
  • Come in clothing that leaves the leg free.
  • If a treatment is under way on the leg, raise it at the visit.
  • Think about your availability over the coming span so the pace of the series can be planned.

To avoid

  • Do not try a new product on the surface on the day.
  • With an open wound or an irritation, check with us before you come.
  • Do not use a strong mechanical scrub on the surface shortly beforehand.
  • Do not compress the series on your own; the interval is planned in the booking window.

After your appointment

Recommended

  • Choose clothing afterwards that leaves the leg free.
  • Keep to your usual amount of water through the day.
  • Write down what you notice on the surface and bring it along next time.
  • If you have to move the next visit of the series, let us know in advance; the plan is adjusted.

To avoid

  • Do not put warmth on the surface straight afterwards.
  • Do not work the surface with massage or the like while anything feels uncomfortable.
  • Do not begin a new care product on the surface in the first hours.
  • Do not compare progress from one visit to the next; the series is judged as a whole.

When to contact us: If a pain, a bruise or a discomfort you did not expect persists on the surface, call us; we will look at it together before you come for the next visit. With severe or increasing pain, go straight to a doctor.

What to be aware of

  • Not applied during pregnancy.
  • Not applied to people carrying metal in the body — a steel pin, a gold thread, a pacemaker.
  • Not applied to people who have had a heart attack.
  • Not applied in cases of epilepsy or mental illness.
  • Not applied where there is fever, infection, inflammation, a skin condition such as eczema or cold sores, or a wound that has not closed or has only just scabbed over.
  • Not applied in severe and ongoing illness such as cancer, AIDS or a blood disorder, nor in people with a clotting problem.
  • With phlebitis, varicose veins, a vascular procedure in the last two months, or numbness in the arms or legs, a doctor is consulted first.
  • People on continuous medication such as anti-inflammatories, blood thinners, antibiotics or antihistamines, and people who bruise easily from small knocks, consult a doctor first.
  • Not applied during menstruation.
  • Not applied to children under seven; above seven a doctor's opinion is required.
  • After aesthetic surgery, applied only on a doctor's instruction.
  • The 40 kHz head is not used above the neck, over the vocal cords, or in the genital area.
  • Not applied on areas where jewellery is worn.
  • Not applied inside the ear, inside the mouth, on mucosa or on the nipple without a doctor's instruction.

Good to know

Why is the surface divided?

Is the whole leg not one surface anyway?

One surface, yes, but not one single plane. Worked without dividing it, there is no following which part has had how much work.

Dividing it also makes your comfort followable: if one section felt wrong, that stays attached to that section.

Why a series here and not a visit?

Is coming once and having a look not enough?

For a look it is enough. Only a leg cannot be worked through section by section in one pass, and that working through is the whole subject here; a visit on its own shows you half of it.

You may step out at any point, including after the second visit. We keep no list anyone has to buy their way out of.

What a series here is not meant for

Does a whole series bring me nearer a target for weight or measurements?

No, and the length changes nothing about that. Neither one visit nor twelve are built towards weight, measurements or body composition; hoping otherwise means counting weeks that cannot count.

If such a target stands at the front of your mind, it belongs at the beginning and not halfway through. Say it straight away, and nobody has to climb out of the wrong thing later.

Why does one section not feel like the next?

Higher up it was fine, further down it was not. Should that worry me?

A leg is not one and the same tissue along its length, and the impression is allowed to shift with the section. Whether it is allowed to is not yours to judge — that is what we are sitting beside you for.

Whatever you put into words in the moment lands on that very section in the line, and steers where we begin the time after.

Does the series break if I miss a visit?

Something came up in between, what should I do?

Letting us know in advance is enough. The plan is adjusted and it carries on from the section you stopped at.

Because it goes on paper, which section you are at does not get lost.

The day of the visit and the days after

Can I carry on with my normal day afterwards?

Usually yes; choosing clothing that leaves the leg free is enough.

If the state you are in that day calls for an extra pointer, it is given at the close.

How do you choose between the entries in the category?

Which of the entries suits me?

Nothing on this page decides for you. The neighbouring entries part company over how much skin they cover and over how many visits they run; which of them gets planned is settled by the conversation.

The references below lead to the other cuts.

The Fatma Süha approach

On a large surface our first concern is keeping the series followable. If we do not know which section was worked when, there is no talking about progress at all.

What settles the plan on the first visit is how the surface is divided and what your calendar allows. Until both are clear, we do not start the series.

Between visits, what we follow is how you feel and how the surface answers. We write both down and ask about them every time.

If your expectation falls outside what this treatment covers, we say so on the first visit. Starting a series is not a way of postponing a wrong expectation.

Frequently asked questions

Who decides whether this treatment suits me?
Together, at the visit, once the surface has been looked at and your expectation discussed. This page makes no suitability decision.
Will it help me lose weight?
No. It is not a programme planned around a target for weight, measurements or body composition. If your expectation lies there, let us talk about it openly at the visit.
Can I take a single visit and try it?
You can. The treatment is built around a series, though; a single visit does not show how the series runs.
Does it stop if a section feels wrong?
Say so at once. Intensity can be adjusted section by section, and what you report goes on paper.
What happens if I miss a visit?
The plan is adjusted and it carries on from your section. Letting us know in advance makes the planning easier.
Can I spread my visits across the two addresses?
Yes. The treatment runs at both, and because the note on the series is attached to you, it does not get split.
I am pregnant, can I have it done?
Do say so at the visit. With that told us, we judge together whether the series should begin; the plan can be put back accordingly.
Can I break off the series halfway?
Yes. Carrying on is decided afresh at every visit, and stopping is a valid decision.
