About this treatment

There is something unusual about this extent: one end of the boundary is not ours to settle. The hairline is drawn at the salon and can move by a centimetre or two with every cut.

Look past that, and two months on the worked surface and the place where the hair ends no longer meet, leaving a strip standing between them.

Session plan

At the nape, what is followed across the whole run is whether the line wanders. If your cuts are regular, the boundary stays regular too; if the tempo of the cutting changes, we talk the extent through again.

How the appointment runs

3. 3Laying out the extentThe surface to be worked is agreed so that it stays below the hairline, and written down.
4. 4The applicationAt the nape, work proceeds over the surface laid out; since you cannot see it, you hear along the way what is happening.
5. 5Talking about the next cutYour next cut comes up, and the proposed date is measured against it.

After your appointment

When to contact us: If a redness stays on, or blistering or a change of colour appears, ring us; since you cannot see the surface, your account is enough. If something brings inflammation to mind, go to a doctor first.

What to be aware of

• It is reported that a redness and swelling bringing sunburn to mind may appear after the treatment.
• Blistering, infection, scarring and a lasting change of colour are counted among the seldom-seen risks.
• For the period before the treatment, a daily broad-spectrum protection of factor thirty and above is advised.
• Tanning, the sunbed and the use of tanning products are among the things to be kept away from.
• A liability to scars or keloids and the preparations in use are to be shared before the treatment.
